At Home with Another Herrera

Some people's homes get featured a million times and others seem to sit quietly under the radar.  The latter is why I was very excited to see Patricia Herrera Lansing's apartment featured on APT with LSD on Vogue.com.  In case you don't know, Patricia is the daughter of my style idol Carolina Herrera.  The chicness doesn't fall far from the tree here.  I love how she and her husband have not only transformed his former bachelor pad into a family home, but have incorporated contemporary art and photography into the mix.  I also love the playroom and family photos displayed behind the breakfast table.  Now only if some magazine would feature her mother's townhouse again.  Bon Weekend!

Chic on Crosby Street

Crosby Street is one of my favorite places in New York.  Even though it's a block from Broadway, it's always quiet.  I'm a little jealous that Devon Radziwill lives on this chic street but excited to peek into her loft via APT with LSD on Vogue.com.  Needless to say, I love the artwork and library.

Minnie in Malibu

I wish I had seen the APT by LSD on Vogue.com feature on Minnie Mortimer's Malibu home earlier.  Since she's an avid surfer, it would have made the perfect follow up to my Surf's Up post.  I'm waiting for new bookcases to arrive so I was very taken with all her fabulous built-ins.  There is also nothing I love more than seeing what's on someone else's shelves.  The bookcases will flank my sofa so that means I can't hang the art until after they arrive.  I can't wait to create a new gallery wall like Minnie's.  I love her mix of artwork and photography.  Another example of buy what you love and you'll find a place for it.

Uptown Chic

APT with LSD on Vogue.com has featured their first uptown apartment.  I'm sure it only made the cut because it looks like a downtown apartment and is owned by a rock star and his former fashion designer wife. It reminded me a little of Marcelo Lucini's Buenos Aires flat I posted earlier today. It belongs to Laura and Diego Garcia and their baby Georgiana and is definitely worth a look.

P.S. I saw Bill Cunningham New York tonight and LOVED it!  The Film Forum has added three more showtimes daily but it runs only through March 29th.  Run don't walk to see it before it leaves.  The movie will definitely make you want to run up to Bill Cunningham and give him a hug the next time you see him.  And you know what, I just might!

At Home with Lauren Santo Domingo

Lauren Santo Domingo is an editor at Vogue and one of New York's chicest fashionistas.  When she began her series APT with LSD on Vogue.com, I was keeping my fingers crossed that she would let us into her own apartment.  It's an eclectic mix of pieces that seem to have been collected during her travels.  I'm very jealous of her Willy Rizzo coffee table and Lalanne hippo bar.  She and her husband Andrés are expecting their first child in April, a great birthday month if I do say so myself, and will be transitioning the room above into a nursery.  I'm sure it will be a very chic room for a very chic baby!  My only criticism of the APT with LSD series is the photography.  I really wish Lauren had someone working with her who knows how to shoot interiors.  I feel like this apartment is probably even better in person. But I still enjoyed the peek!

Winter in the Adirondacks

I was thinking how nice it would be to post a something snowy on this first day of winter and magically, the perfect house came to me.  APT with LSD on Vogue.com toured the family home of Amanda Brooks in the Adirondacks.  Looks like a beautiful place to spend Christmas.  For all the details, check out the full story online and don't miss Amanda's I Love Your Style website.  I'm still sick and definitely going back to bed! Later Skaters!
