Tennis Anyone?

My friend Blue Carreon and I both bought wooden tennis racquets at the flea market yesterday.  Mine is displayed in my blue and white porcelain umbrella stand in my entry.  If I tried displaying a new tennis racquet, it would definitely not have the same effect.  I miss the days before plastic and bright colors became the norm.  When people actually worse white to play tennis.  That's probably why I love this photos spread of model Anouck  Lepère in Elle Italia.  Now that's chic.

Tennis Anyone?

I have absolutely no hand eye coordination so I'm terrible at racket sports but that doesn't mean I don't enjoy watching them. Wimbledon at The All England Club is always a favorite each year.  As a tradition, the players are required to wear white but some of the outfits this year have gotten a little out of control. I'm not quite sure what Serena Williams is wearing but it doesn't look nearly as chic as some of these ensembles.  I'm sure the ladies are happy they no longer have to wear stockings but I wouldn't mind if the men brought back those short shorts.  I bet more people would watch if they did!

Tennis Anyone?

Time to get out your short shorts and your sweatbands, the US Open Tennis Championships begin tomorrow in Flushing Meadows. Personally, I'll be staking out all the top hotels to catch of glimpse of the hot players! Between tennis and upcoming fashion week, it's the best time of the year to be in New York!
